Through networking, as well as education and service activities, we strive to improve the quality of life for our members and the Washington, DC metropolitan community.

The objectives and purposes of the Association are: to improve, benefit and protect the well-being of the legal profession and its members; to enhance the professional skills of its members; to encourage professional and citizenship responsibilities among the Membership; to encourage spiritual and moral values; to advance the science of jurisprudence and the administration of justice; to improve the standards of legal education; and, to encourage legal research and excellence consistent with the philosophy of Houstonian Jurisprudence.

The Northern Virginia Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association, Inc. provides outreach to prospective students, conducts fundraising activities for our scholarships and supports alumni giving efforts, and undertakes service projects to uplift the community. Our chapter has continued to live “The Standard of Excellence” instilled in us by our Alma Mater, Hampton University.
Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO)
CLEO is a nonprofit entity of the American Bar Association. Our mission is to diversify the legal profession. Since our inception in 1968, CLEO has been at the forefront of helping minority, low-income and disadvantaged students gain access to law school, successfully matriculate and pass the bar exam.
