District of Columbia Bar Leadership Academy April 2014 The purpose of the District of Columbia Bar Leadership Academy is to identify, inspire, and educate District of Columbia Bar members to be leaders of the Bar and to encourage them to use their leadership skills in professional settings, local bar associations, and community organizations. The District of Columbia Bar Leadership Academy is comprised of approximately 25 members of the Bar representing diverse backgrounds, practice settings, and practice areas. American Bar Association Bar Leadership Institute March 2014 The American Bar Association Bar Leadership Institute is the premier program for developing the skills and substantive grounding for leading a bar association with inspiration, insight, and innovation. Collaborative Bar Leadership Academy June 2013 The Collaborative Bar Leadership Academy (CBLA) is a coordinated effort to strengthen the pipeline of diverse bar association leaders by providing leadership training and professional development programs which will benefit current and future leaders, the bar association community, and the legal profession overall. The CBLA marks the first substantive program resulting from a collaboration of the five sponsoring bar associations and lays the foundation for further collaborative efforts to foster diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. The District of Columbia Bar Basic Training & Beyond January 2013 The program is for lawyers who want to know about the methods and skills necessary for starting and growing a small firm and who want to participate actively in the learning experience.
